Edlin offers an annual International Immersion Spring Break Trip that provides students and families the opportunity to learn about another country's history, culture, language and environments. We frequently plan a service learning component in order to give back to the community we visit. We've previously hosted a read-a-thon to raise money to build a school and a library in Africa. We also have cultural exchanges with children in those countries.
Previous trips included Argentina, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador and The Galapagos Islands, Madagascar, Peru, Senegal, and Spain.
Our 2017 trip was to Cuba, where we explored the nation's unique history, learned about native religions, and attended a baseball game. We traveled to multiple cities and were featured in the newspaper for our adventure. We thank the Cuban people for their hospitality and kindness.
Spring Break trips are not included in the annual tuition, but we negotiate affordable rates for once in a lifetime opportunities.
We generally take students on one immersion field trip per year. The immersion field trip is scheduled during Edlin School's Spring Break with the destination selected to enrich and support our stimulating and challenging curriculum.
